The UONGOZI Institute, a leadership development organization based in Dar es Salaam, is offering three internships: Finance, Research, and Procurement. The organization, established in 2010 by the governments of Tanzania and Finland, aims to equip African leaders with the skills for sustainable development.
Internship Positions
- Finance Intern (1 position): This role involves assisting with finance and accounting tasks under the Corporate Services Department. The intern will report to the Senior Accountant.
- Research Intern (1 position): This intern will help coordinate research and policy activities and support the Institute’s Resource Centre . The position is in the Research and Policy Analysis Department, and the intern will report to the Senior Researcher.
- Procurement Intern (1 position): This position involves supporting procurement plans, including tendering processes, logistics, and inventory management. The intern will work with the Procurement Management Unit and report to the Senior Procurement and Supplies Officer.

General Requirements & Application Process
- To be eligible, you must have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and be proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and internet search tools.
- Strong communication skills in both English and Swahili are also required, as is the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- While not required, volunteering experience is preferred.
